Gwen is trans the same way that Peter B Parker is Jewish in that it's 100% entirely canon but if your ability to interpret visual media begins and ends with character dialogue you're going to miss 100% of the demographic information of any character because there's basically no situation where it would make thematic sense for Spider-Man to say "oh and by the way, I'm trans and Jewish"

in reality, these things werent verbally stated bc we live in a very antisemetic and transphobic world and the movies would have gotten considerate pushback for this, not because the writers wanted to challenge you with a cute little easter egg...consider your stance on diveristy in media if you think its even acceptable that a characters identity be hidden away under 10 layers of subtelty instead of them just being allowed to express it....
